Situated in Poprad District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia, Svit lies 8 kilometres west of Poprad, in the foothills of the High Tatras. It is Slovakia’s smallest town.
Svit covers an area of 4.506 square kilometres and has a total population of 7,510 (2005).
