Located on the western bank of the Váh River in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia, Pieštany is the largest and best-known spa town in Slovakia. It is located 30 kilometres north east of Trnava and 75 kilometres north east of Bratislava.
Pieštany covers an area of 44.201 square kilometres and has a total population of 29,660 (2006).
