Sobrance, located in the Eastern Slovak Lowlands close to the Vihorlat Mountains, is the easternmost town in Slovakia. It is situated 22 kilometres east of Michalovce and 15 kilometres west of Uzhhorod, Ukraine.
Sobrance covers an area of 10.680 square kilometres and has a total population of 6,264 (2005).
