Podolínec is situated on the Poprad River in the Spiš region of northern Slovakia. It is located approximately 15 kilometres from Stará Lubovna and 35 kilometres from Poprad.
Podolínec covers an area of 33.183 square kilometres and has a total population of 3,204 (2005).
