Pezinok is located 20 kilometres north east of Bratislava and 30 kilometres south west of Trnava, in the foothills of the Little Carpathians. It lies at an altitude of 152 metres. Pezinok is an important centre of viticulture.
Pezinok covers an area of 72.555 square kilometres and has a total population 21,334 (2005).
