Hosted annually by the FOTOFO Foundation at the Central European House of Photography, the Month of Photography Bratislava festival spans over 40 exhibitions and includes work by photographers from Central and Eastern Europe (Slovakia, Poland, the Baltic Republics, Austria, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, Hungary). The festival also includes a retrospective on a world-renowned figure – past festivals have featured Sebastia Salgado, William Klein, Josef Koudelka and Helmut Newton – and an international conference dealing with various subjects, including digital photography, contemporary photography in Europe, photography of women and documentary photography.
