Liptov Village Museum in Pribylina is the youngest open-air museum in Slovakia, available since 1991. It's establishment is related to the construction of water reservoir of Liptovská Mara, in order to protect the most valuable movable and immovable estates. Liptov Village Museum exhibition documents the housing and the way of life of Liptov's population with different social backgrounds in the past. Besides wooden folk architecture also medieval stone buildings, an early Gothic church and a Gothic-Renaissance style mansion are present. There is also a static exhibit of forestry railway in the museum.
