Technical University in Košice Library
The Technical University Library is a specialised library which, corresponding to the orientation of the University itself, offers a wide range of information services. The library collection consists of 222,400 library units, 135,100 books, 1,038 serial titles, 100 videocassette titles, CD-ROM databases and Current Contents on Diskette databases.
The primary mission of the Technical University Library is to cover the basic information needs of university staff and students through the ordering and processing of literature for reading room and home study and the provision of a wide range of information and retrieval services from databases in the Internet network.
The Technical University Library is involved in the KOLIN project (KOsice Library Information Network) that will allow for two university libraries and one research library to form a unique Library information network in Eastern Slovakia, the largest online library consortium in the country.
