Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (VŠMU) - Central Library, Study and Information Centre

The Central Library, Study and Information Centre of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava acts as a central and specialised academic library and study-information centre. Centrally, it provides a comprehensive library-information service for the teaching, research and professional activity of the Film and Television, Music and Dance and Theatre Faculties of VŠMU. It also offers its services for selected institutions and individuals using the library. The Central Library acquires, makes available and preserves the library and information collections related to VŠMU's branch of studies such as music, dance, drama, film, television and social disciplines. The library collection consists of books, music, audiovisual documents and periodicals. Archival collections constitute bachelor, diploma and habilitation thesis that have been defended at VŠMU. The library collection is divided into 21 separate systematic units. Through its catalogues and automatically-processed databases the Central Library, Study and Information Centre provides secondary information on accessing this library fund.
