The documentary collections consist of the written, printed and photographic documentation of the professional Slovak theatre activities. The most extensive part of the documentation is being built by the production collection, which gathers all materials about Slovak professional theatre performances since 1920. Other documentation parts are built by the special subject entries (catchwords) collections, programme bulletin collections, slide and negative collections, drama text and audio visual collections. The Documentation of the Theatre Institutes also includes electronic registration on the professional Slovak theatre activities data for the information systems IS Theisa and the electronic.
