One of the most valuable art nouveau monuments in Slovakia, the Andrássy Mausoleum was built in 1903-1904 around one kilometre east of Krásna Hôrka Castle as a family crypt for Dionýz Andrassy and his wife, Czech singer Františka Hablavcova, according to a project by Richard Berndl and Ing Arch Constantine Frick. The sculptural decoration is the work of Max Frick and Eduard Schmucker.

Located some four kilometres from Spiš Castle, Spišské Podhradie became an important centre of craft production by the 14th century. In 1412 it was given to the Polish King in exchange for a financial loan.
Novohrad Regional Committee of Csemadok, as an organisational part of the Association, helps to maintain and develop the national identity, culture and solidarity of Hungarians living in the territory of the Slovak Republic, including their social interests in Novohrad region.
