The University of St Cyril and Methodius (UCM) in Trnava was established on 1 August 1997. Its mission is to educate, in the spirit of Christian and national ideals and in accordance with democratic principles, qualified professionals who will be able to successfully develop the Slovak culture, science and education in the context of the European and world cultural heritage. UCM is a modern educational institution that provides students with space to develop in both the philosophical and artistic spheres, as well as in the latest developments in science, the mathematical disciplines and the field of biotechnology.
