Matej Bel University - logoThe object of its mission is the education of civilly-qualified, professionally prepared, creative and flexible graduates for work mostly in departments of education and culture, but also in civil and public management.

The Faculty of Humanities of Matej Bel University is searching and using the optimal tools to fulfil its mission:

• first of all it creates pedagogical study programmes to meet the principles of the education of 21st century, towards the studying society,

• it focuses the same attention on making the offer of non-pedagogical study programmes of better quality and on enlarging them, in accordance with the professional and qualifying possibilities of the faculty,

• in accordance with material-technical and professional possibilities of the faculty- it advances the reorganization of the educational process to enlarge the space for students, for their auto regulation of the educational process (credit study); and to enlarge the studying possibilities, it prepares the transition to distance study,

• it makes the material-technical equipment of the faculty of better quality-mostly by developing the information and communication technologies (5 multimedia classrooms and the lecture hall Beliana, 2 internet clubs for students etc.), that's why the conditions for accessing the information throughout the organisational structure of the faculty are better,

• annually it organises faculty evaluation of the scientific-pedagogical employees and particular offices, by this evaluation it creates a competitive environment in order to stimulate individuals and collectives in their work to fulfil the mission of the Marketing Strategy of MBU, mostly towards the Framework Programmes of European Union,

• it creates a space for the linking of the educational and scientific-research activities of pedagogues and students by changes in the structure of study programmes to implement the educational aims also via science and research,

• special attention is devoted to the organisation of student scientific activities that is annually evaluated at the student scientific conference,

• it continuously talks to the student's community and encourages it to collaborate on decisions about the orientation of educational activities of the faculty,

• it creates informational and educational centres to link the educational and scientific-research activities of the faculty with practice.
