Šariš Cultural Centre, Prešov
Šariš Cultural Centre in Prešov is a public regional cultural-educational and information institution in the founding responsibility of the Higher Territorial Unit of the Prešov Self-Governing Region, serving 134 municipalities and towns in the districts of Prešov and Sabinov (with more than 230,000 inhabitants).
Through its professional methodological supervision it creates conditions for the development and presentation of voluntary-interest as well as non-artistic activities, supports the preservation and promotion of traditional regional culture, and raises the cultural and educational level of inhabitants of the region through wide-spectral participation of various age groups in cultural activities, no matter what their profession, education or nationality.
One part of the centre is a small multi-purpose hall. It is used for exhibitions of amateur artists and photographers. Educational and other recreational activities are also held, including courses, seminars and workshops.
