Medzibodrožie and Použie Region Cultural Centre in Kráľovský Chlmec
The Cultural Center of Medzibodrožie and Použie regions (KCMaP) was established on January 1, 2006 by the Self-governing region of Košice. KCMaP is a multifunctional cultural and educational ternary institution (education, museum, library), which aims to develop culture and preserve traditions under urban as well as village conditions in the Medzibodrožie and Použie regions. It creates conditions and prerequisites for the maintenance and development of minority cultures, safeguards cultural values of the Tokaj region. Accomplishes creative activities in different areas and genres of spare-time and artistic occupancy and in cross-border cooperation.
The Cultural Center is the organizer of cultural and educational events, competitions, shows, exhibitions, seminars and festivals of regional and international character. It supports and works methodically in favor of professional development of adult and youth non-professional teams and individuals within all genres of spare-time and artistic activities such as: theater, spoken word, folklore, music, singing, visual arts, film and photography.
The main activities of KCMaP include international festivals, lectures, creative craft workshops, regional promotion competitions, exhibitions of artists, educational activities, folk festivals and events of classical music.
