Prešov Regional Government - Regional Development, Area Planning and Environment Directorate

The Regional Development, Area Planning and Environment Directorate: elaborates and evaluates analysis about the development of the region and its parts; provides for and co-ordinates programmes relating to the economic and social development in the region; evaluates meetings on the programme’s objectives and submits to the district authorities proposals relating to its update; provides for and co-ordinates the elaboration of strategies for the economic and social development in the region; and collects information about funding of programmes and about grant funds, providing this information to target entities. For the needs of potential applicants it also: provides information on possibilities of financing the projects; co-operates with other departments regarding tprojects planned for Prešov Region using EU structural funds and other financial resources; is involved in the implementation of these projects; and evaluates meetings on the projects’ objectives.
