The Academic Folkloric Ensemble Technik was founded in 1953 at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Its members are young people whose hobby along their study and work is folklore. By singing, dancing and giving musical performances they introduce the traditions and customs of all the folkloric regions of Slovakia. During its 55 years of existence the folkloric ensemble Technik has presented itself on four continents in 22 countries throughout the world.
