National Centre of Culture - Piešťany Arts Centre is a modern and imposing architectonic gem (design author - architect Ferdinand Milučký) on the bank of one of the most important rivers in Slovakia-the River Váh, in the middle of a large park; and it is a centre of cultural and social life in Piešťany and wide region.

The Arts Centre is a multi-purpose cultural and social establishment whose dramaturgy is focused on professional artistic stages and artistic personalities of cultural life (e.g. the first Slovak theatre stage - the Slovak National Theatre, New Stage, L+S Studio, Radošina Naive Theatre, Slovak Philharmonic; the artists - Milan Sládek, Jiří Stivín, Lucie Bíla, Hana Hegerová, Bolek Polívka, Miroslav Donutil and others). In recent years amateur theatre groups have also had the chance to perform in Piešťany Arts Centre. These groups are winning greater and greater favour of the audience.

Piešťany Arts Centre is the organiser and co-organiser of important festivals with international participation: Piešťany International Festival, International Film Festival Cinematik Piešťany and Dodo Šošoka’s Jazz Festival. Due to their long-term tradition the festivals rank among important international cultural and social events.

Piešťany Arts Centre organises theatre and movie performances, concerts of classical as well as modern music, folk events, amusement programmes, stage and dance performances and performances for children and youth.

Piešťany Arts Centre comprises exhibition premises as well. In the exhibition hall and in the Gallery artists and designers present their creation in the field of fine arts, graphics, pottery, sculpturing and photography all year round. The premises are designated for professional as well as amateur exhibitors (e.g. exhibitions of children’s fine art works from primary art schools are exhibited there). Exhibition premises are used by students of Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts every year.

Theatre technology, light park, high-quality grand piano and organ, large stage and audience, ballet hall, modern dressing rooms and particularly professional and enthusiastic staff give Piešťany Arts Centre all presumptions for successful running of this cultural and social centre.

When visitors stay there shorter or longer, the Centre will persuade them of high-quality of the environment, surrounding and provided services.

Piešťany Arts Centre welcomes its guests with quality and smile.
