A branch of the P M Bohun Gallery in Liptovsky Mikulas, the Jan Hála Gallery is dedicated to the life and work of Slovak artist Jan Hála (1890-1959). Opened in 1976 in the cottage where Hála lived and worked from 1923-1959, it features period furnishings, documents, photographs and more than 60 of his paintings, drawings and book illustrations, mainly on the theme of Tatra folk customs.
