National Council SR - logo The Cabinet of the National Council of the Slovak Republic is a state-funded organisation which fulfils professional, organisational and technical tasks related to securing the work of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, its committees, special control committees and commissions, including the parliamentary documentation and press office.

The Cabinet of the National Council of the Slovak Republic also fulfils tasks under other laws, particularly in labour relations, administration and protection of state property, the use of state budget funds, and administration of a separate budgetary chapter.

The Cabinet is managed by the Head of the Cabinet, who also acts on its behalf; he is accountable to the Speaker of the National Council for the activities of the Cabinet. The Head of the Cabinet of the National Council is deputised in the performance of his tasks by the Deputy Head of the Cabinet. The Head of the Cabinet is entitled to attend both public and closed sessions of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, as well as public and closed sessions of the committees of the National Council.

The employees of the Cabinet of the National Council of the Slovak Republic are employed by the Cabinet; the Head of the Cabinet executes their employment agreement and possesses the power to dismiss them.
