Prešov Observatory and Planetarium is engaged in popularising astronomy and related branches of science, with a particular focus on school students and teachers and various other interest groups as well as members of the general public. Its scientific and educational programmes are concerned mainly with the observation of the solar photosphere. Interesting, sometimes almost untraditional views on the Universe, the stellar sky and our Earth are presented to the public in the form of audiovisual programmes in the planetarium and lecture hall, video projections, exhibitions and evenings spent with telescopes.
