Observatory and Planetarium of Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Hlohovec seeks to popularise astronomy and related branches of science, with a particular focus on school students and teachers and various other interest groups as well as members of the general public. Its scientific and educational programmes are concerned mainly with the observation of the solar system and include presentation of star shows and other audiovisual programmes in the planetarium and lecture hall, video projections, exhibitions and evenings spent with telescopes.
