Crossrail 3

In addition to Crossrail 1 & 2, a third line has been mooted between Euston & Waterloo.

Plans for a third Crossrail line are extremely vague compared to Crossrail 1 (which is now into a very detailed planning stage) Crossrail 2 (which is being studied).

Whereas Crossrail 2 would run between Clapham Junction, Victoria and King's Cross, Crossrail 3 would run between Euston and Waterloo - linking up the Euston - Watford services in the north to a variety of possible services in the south on SWT. The Mayor mentioned Crossrail 3 at an Association of London Government meeting in September 2004, saying that it would "enormously assist access into Central London".

A Central London route and stations have not been proposed.

Crossrail 2 and 3 may be mutually exclusive projects as Crossrail 2 is also intended to use SWT routes.
