ÚĽUV - Centre for Folk Art Production

Centre for Folk Art Production is a contributory organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the SR, founded in 1945 to preserve and promote folk art production as a component of cultural heritage. The main activities of ÚĽUV are: (a) documentation of traditional crafts and folk productions; (b) care of the collections and documentation; (c) publishing of technical publications and magazine about crafts today,; (d) organization of exhibitions, festivals and crafts presentations; (e ) organization of crafts interest rates; (f) the promotion of folk art production and counselling; (g) the library and information services; (h) administering the internet encyclopaedia on traditional crafts today - Virtual Gallery; (i) international cooperation with partner institutions.
