Slovak Radio

Slovak Radio as a national independent, public, informative, cultural and educative institution that provides public services in the field of radio broadcast and is financed mainly from public sources. From the point of view of geographic access the programme service of Slovak Radio is universal, diversified in programme structure and prepared on the basis of editorial independence. It supports the cultural advancement of listeners, showcases current cultural and artistic activities and also mediates the cultural values of different nations. The programme structure consists of news, journalistic, documentary, dramatic, artistic, music, sport, entertainment and educational programmes.

Slovak Radio is currently broadcasting 9 radio programme services; has its own symphonic orchestra, Slovakia’soldest musical ensemble, a children’s singing group and children’s radio group – all of them are an irreplaceable part of this institution.

Slovak Radio broadcasts the following programme services: Rádio Slovensko, Rádio Regina, Rádio Devín, Rádio_FM, Radio Patria, Radio Slovakia International, Radio Klasika, Radio Litera and Radio Junior.
