Brezno Municipal Tourist Information Centre was founded in 1995. Since 1 January 2005 it has been part of the Municipal Cultural Centre.

The primary objectives of Brezno Municipal Tourist Information Centre are: (i) searching for and attracting potential visitors to the Horehronie region; (ii) receiving tourists and providing them with the necessary information; and (iii) promoting and presenting the Horehronie region.

Brezno Municipal Tourist Information Centre provides: (i) information about the town of Brezno and the Horehronie region for tourists and visitors; (ii) current information on major events in Slovakia; (iii) promotional and informational material about Slovakia in various languages; (iv) a calendar of upcoming events and a monthly bulletin called the Information Journal; (v) its own promotional material about the city and the region; (vi) sale of souvenirs and folk art; and (vii) sale of literature focused on tourism, maps and regional literature.

This organisation is a member of the Association of Information Centres of Slovakia (AICES), Liptovský Mikuláš.
