Forest Omnivores
The forest omnivores listed here are crickets and a katydid that have broad diets; they will eat a wide variety of plant materials but will also feed on other arthropods when the opportunity presents itself. All are dependent on the physical structure as well as the cool equitable, moist conditions of mature and old- growth forests. Many of these forest-inhabiting species are flightless and thus may be more sensitive to disturbance that winged species.
