The Danube Prizes are awarded annually at the International Festival of Television Programmes for Children and Youth, organised by Slovak Television. Television companies and producers compete for the Prix Danube in the following categories: animated production, live-action production, documentary production, and educational programmes (all up to 17 years). The festival juries bestow the Danube Prizes in four categories: best dramatic programme, best animated programme, best documentary programme, and best educational programme – which are awarded to the organisation submitting the programme for the competition.
