Founded in 1949, the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (VŠMU) has since gained an enviable reputation for producing graduates who became the cornerstones of modern Slovak theatre. Its three faculties – Music and Dance, Theatre, and Film and Television – offer a wide range of courses in theatre, drama, puppetry, music, dance, film and television.
The Academy is a member of the European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres (ENCATC).
